Download Marjories e-book today for $19.95!! Swedish Weave is embroidery of geometric motifs, using a simple darning or weaving stitch. These are worked by weaving under the vertical double raised threads of Huckaback, Stockholm, Monk's Cloth, Aida, or any other fabric with raised floats. I even found place mats at "Pier One" that worked up nicely with # 3 Pearle Cotton. I taught one of my coworkers how to do this and he made an afghan for his mother for Christmas. The girls at work took a picture of him doing the weaving so his mom would believe that he really did it. Wouldn't your mother be surprised.
