Lovers Valentine Basket

Material List:

1 basket
1 can silver spray paint
1 plastic liner (bowl)
1/2 block oasis
Spanish Moss
1 silver twisted craft paper (aluminum)
1 silver 2" aluminum ribbon with wired edges
1 stem Bells of Holland with a couple of side stems
6 red tulips
7 red carnations
3 stems daisy mums with multiple flowers

Spray paint basket silver. While waiting for the paint to dry, soak oasis inwater or water with preservative. Place oasis in the plastic liner. If your basket did not come with a liner, you can use the plastic tub from Cool Whip.

Cover oasis loosely with moss. You can use sphagnum moss if preferred. Next, tie a simple double loop bow securing it with string, ribbon, or wire and attach it to the left top of the handle. Wrap the narrower ribbon around the handle leaving the handle exposed in places. The wire in the ribbon will hold it in place. Next, tie a simple double loop bow securing it with string, ribbon, or wire and attach it to the left top of the handle.

Place your tallest line first, which is your Bells of Holland behind the handle on the left side as shown. Next place a carnation about 2/3 from the top of the Bells of Holland behind the handle. Place 3rd & 4th carnations as shown in the picture.

Open the tulips by bending the petals back. Place 3 of them at the right front and close together, which will balance the bow and the tall line on the left. Fill in with the daisy mums. Repeat on the other side except for the Bells of Holland.

Enjoy!
